A physician's judgment, working for you.
In trauma and emergency care, the “golden hour” is a critical window in which swift, disciplined thinking and action saves lives. Dr. Lisbon has spent 3 decades in that window. As a board certified emergency medicine physician he spent that time walking beside patients and families as they navigated these critical times. This same mindset guides him in his work in healthcare advocacy and navigation as president of Golden Hour Physicians, LLC.

Clinical judgment, on your side of the table.
When it comes to your health, clarity matters. Dr. Lisbon's 30 years in community and academic emergency medicine practice has equipped him with a broad array of experiences and perspectives. Doctor Lisbon knows the language and the cadence of medicine. He has taught and mentored medical students and resident physicians for over 20 years. In addition, Dr. Lisbon has worked with national organizations surveying the patient safety landscape across the country.
This present work is informed by what has always been fundamental for Doctor Lisbon; which is helping to demystify medicine to patients and to help them make sense of diagnoses, treatment options and next steps.
"My practice, teaching, leadership, and advocacy have all flowed from one thing: a patient-centric ethos."
Today, that clinical depth and health-systems fluency are available not through a hospital chart, but through a direct relationship — as your advocate, translator, and guide.
Dr. Lisbon holds a Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine and a B.S. in Microbiology from Howard University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP) and is board certified in emergency medicine.
